How Cleaning Estimates Are Calculated (And Why Ours Is Instant)

Cleaning estimates are not pulled out of thin air. They are built from a small number of factors: the size of the property, its condition, the number of rooms or bathrooms, the number of storeys, and any extras like carpet cleaning or window cleaning. We took that exact logic and turned it into an instant calculator.

Size is the foundation

For end of lease cleaning, bedroom count is the proxy for size. For builders cleaning, we use actual floor area in square metres. Either way, the bigger the property, the more time and product required.

Condition and storeys adjust the base

A heavily soiled property takes longer, so heavy condition adds a percentage. Double and triple storeys mean more stairs and more time, so they carry a surcharge. Light and standard conditions do not add cost.

Extras are optional and transparent

Carpet steam cleaning, garage cleaning, wall washing, balcony cleaning and window cleaning are all optional. The calculator only adds them if you select them, and you can see each one in the price breakdown.
